Dividing Fractions

When Fractions are Divided, the "divided by" Fraction is Inverted.

The Numerators are then Multiplied and the Denominators are Multiplied.

Invert the Second Fraction, which is the "Divided by Fraction", and then multiply.

To multiply these Fractions, first multiply the Numerators.

The product of the Numerators becomes the new Numerator.

Dividing Fractions

Invert the Second Fraction, which is the "Divided by Fraction"

Multiply the Numerators to find the Numerator of the answer.

Multiply the Denominators to find the Denominator of the answer.

If the answer is an Improper Fraction, then change it to a Mixed Number.

If the Proper Fraction can be Reduced, then do so.
